FILMS=JOBS State House Day

Wednesday, June 14th

State House, Boston

Any time between 10 AM and Noon

It should take less than hour

This week Massachusetts residents sent in more than 1,100 emails into the State House telling your legislators to protect the film and television production incentive program. (If you haven’t done it yet, please do).

Now it's time to go to the State House and ask them in person!

The Massachusetts Senate and House are working to finalize the state budget.  One of the items in consideration would cap the amount of above-the-line salary that can be applied to the Film Tax Credit.  This will drive film production away from Massachusetts, kill local jobs, and hurt thousands of small businesses across the state.

The House and Senate are currently working on the final version of the budget and we want to prevent this measure from becoming law.

Films=Jobs State House Day

WHEN: NEXT Wednesday June 14th

Arrive anytime between 10 AM to NOON

WHERE:  FIRST go to the “Church on the Hill”, 140 Bowdoin Street, Boston. The church is across from the side entrance to the State House.  There you will receive a packet, training, and the names and room numbers of your State Senator and State Representative.

PLEASE use the link below to pre-register and fill out the sign-up form. This will allow us to have a packet ready for you for both your Senator and Representative and make the whole process go faster and more smoothly.

WHAT: You will then go across the street to the State House to visit your State Senator and State Representative and urge them not to cripple the film and television production incentive.

PLEASE NOTE: This State House day will only include individual meetings with legislators. There will be no sign holding, rallies, or speaker program like in the past.
