In order to become a member of IATSE Local 481:

  • You must be of good moral character and reputation.
  • You must have been a resident within the jurisdiction of the Local for at least 18 months immediately preceding the application. IATSE Local 481’s jurisdiction covers Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
  • You must have a minimum of 30 days of work in the craft in which you are applying or that is related to the craft in which you are applying.
  • You must be of legal age to engage in gainful occupation within the jurisdiction of the Local.
  • There shall be no discrimination against any person in respect to membership in this Local by reason of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or sexual orientation.
